Our commitment

kultmeister.com is built for accessibility — not as an afterthought but in the craft: semantic, valid HTML; every core function works without JavaScript; full keyboard operation with a visible focus ring; sufficient colour contrast outside the gallery scene; and “prefers-reduced-motion” is respected.

The home page is an exhibition in WebGL. Every piece of gallery content is also present as text in the document and readable without the flight; the catalogue is the complete second version without JavaScript. With “prefers-reduced-motion” the camera stands still and moves only with the scroll; the room sound starts only after a gesture and can be switched off; plan and map work with the keyboard.

Standard and assessment

The benchmark is WCAG 2.2 AA (EN 301 549). We test with keyboard and screen reader and automatically (axe) — as a studio self-assessment, without an external audit. Last assessed: September 2026 (Edition II, the gallery).

Current state

Known: by default the gallery text stands clear over the scene, and some text fields there do not reach AA contrast — a design decision. The “Label” setting in the controls (text ground) puts every text on a label plate that keeps AA regardless of the image behind it (measured against the image behind the text, landscape and portrait, by day and by night); the system settings “increase contrast” and “reduce transparency” apply it automatically. The catalogue offers the same content without the scene. Without an external audit we cannot guarantee full conformance; we follow up on any barrier reported to us.
