Kultmeister is a hand-coding web studio. What sets it apart from an agency is not the ambition — many claim that — but that the ambition is written down, versioned and verifiable.
Why a standard should be written down.
“Craft” can be claimed and never checked. A written standard can fail, visibly — and that is exactly what makes it worth having. Kultmeister works to a fixed method and accepts every edition against a fixed measure. Both evolve; both carry a version number. A work is only finished when it holds that measure in every dimension.
Kultmeister is the studio practice of Jens Hartmann. Not a department, not a pool — one hand, answerable for what it signs.
